Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do I have to wait to the application date to start the application? Can I send them to ITU now?

Please prepare your required documents until application week, and deliver them in the application period (not before) to the online application system.

2) Is there any kind of scholarships like graduate assistantship or something like that for international students who get your school’s or institute’s offer?

There is not a distinction between international or national students. You can apply for scholarships to ITU at the beginning of the Fall term. Or you may take from projects/professor you worked. Assistantship quota is defined by the departments approximately every year just for Turkish students.

3) Regarding the GRE Exam, is it General GRE Exam or Subject GRE Exam?

ITU wants General GRE exam scores.

4) Should I send my GRE/TOEFL results directly to your University?

It’ll be better and healthier for you/ITU to deliver your documents by hand. Because ITU Student Affairs does not accept by post.

5) I am too late to apply for this term, is there any possibility for apply now for it?

It’s unfortunately not possible.

6) How can I be a “Special Student”?

“Special Student “concept is different from taking part in a Graduate Programme in ITU. “Special Student” is the concept that you’re applying to take just one or more courses from ITU; but you’re not a Master Student of the university.

7) Is the application same for Erasmus student being a “Special Student?

It’s not a problem whether you’re Erasmus students or not.
